The Roles That Look Easy to Recruit… But Aren’t

We see this on job adverts all the time, and we do understand why businesses say it.

The funny thing is, some of the hardest roles to recruit well are the ones in the middle of a business.

On paper they look straightforward:-
Good CV.
Relevant experience.
Ticks the boxes.

Simple I hear you say.  Except it rarely is.

You’re not just hiring skills.

You are  hiring attitude, reliability, communication, ambition and cultural fit.

And candidates are assessing the business too.

That’s the bit many busy hiring managers don’t always have the time to uncover fully.

A good recruiter shouldn’t just send CVs.

They should save you time, ask the awkward questions early, spot red flags,  and help both sides make better decisions.

After 25+ years in recruitment, we still believe the best hires come down to people, not CVs.
