We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected maintenance contractor with an excellent reputation for quality, stability and service delivery.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Liverpool.

About the Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial enquiry through to final account across a wide range of regional projects.

You will regularly visit sites, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and play a key role in the commercial success of multiple contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final accounts
  • Cost control and commercial management of projects
  • Procuring subcontractors and agreeing final accounts
  • Preparing cost reports and cash flow forecasts
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys across the North West
  • Liaising professionally with clients, residents, contractors and stakeholders
  • Working on planned and reactive maintenance contracts
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager with additional duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone with approximately 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role who is motivated, organised and commercially aware.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc or equivalent) or proven relevant industry experience
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience using Microsoft Project
  • Ability to produce Gantt charts and project programmes
